Out for Coffee with Derrk
Well, it’s been a while! Here I am again on a Sunday afternoon! I'm still messing around with Derrk and listening to his sweet, subtle sarcasm like we are old friends out for coffee (and I want to punch him in the throat… but I don’t because he is teaching me stuff!). And how fitting, this time, we are working on some simple coffee cups. Here, we are exploring textures, a little UV editor, and some simple modeling of a coffee cup. Perfect topic to 12 minutes of instruction into a few hours of learning.

Of course, you can’t stop there. You must do more. So, I took the introduction animation and repeated it with my newly created assets. He had so many colors, but I just wanted the white and clear to switch back and forth. It’s harder than it looks, but the effect is the same. The clear color changes to white and back again. For added effect, I found some swooshing glass sounds. Is there such a thing? Well, there is.
If you are exploring Blender 3D, again, I would highly recommend Derrk’s tutorials as well as the others I have listed in the blog (blender posts).
