Inflated
This morning
I woke up this morning to my youngest child saying “Hello... hello...” like she does nearly every morning. She is a treat, to say the least. Our very own little alarm clock with no snooze button. As I woke up and sat down to my computer and coffee, my wife let me know that my oldest daughter's car gave a warning light for low tire pressure. So, I headed out to my daughter's car and began driving...
To the gas station
On the way down the road, I was instantly reminded of putting air in my middle daughter's bike tires. Man! I love writing this blog and looking back on my thoughts. Like how good it feels to be relied upon to inflate tires and get gas ;) I also thought about the day we purchased this car. We paid for it on the spot. No payments. Just one big payment! How awesome that feeling was too!
No thank you?
I filled the car up with gas after putting air in the tires and brought the car back home. She never said “thank you” and I don't expect that she will say it today. You see, I know she is a teenager and she is a lot like me some days. She “wants what she wants when she wants it” and I am certainly no stranger to that feeling, but I imagine that (like me, today) she will look back on this day with much love, appreciation, and gratitude… Someday.
